Description
Behringer X32 / Midas M32 Training Course
The Behringer X/M32 Digital Mixers are versatile audio processing units designed for live sound, recording, and broadcast applications. Since they all run off of the same firmware, it is easy for me to train you if you use the X/M32 Console, Producer or Compact. This one on one Zoom course will help you understand their features, setup, and functionality to get you started quickly. This is a hands on course and I will be giving you step by step instructions in real time.
Please click here to see this course’s overview, it’s 15 pages long. You need to have Zoom as well as X32 Edit or M32 Edit installed on the same computer that is connected to your mixer. This way we can share our screens with each other during our recorded meetings. If you are using a Mac computer, then it is your responsibility to learn how to install and connect these two apps, as I don’t use Mac computers.
If you’re trying to figure out the Behringer X32 or Midas M32 and it feels more complicated than it should be, this one on one course is built to fix that. This is a straight-to-the-point, real-world X32/M32 training course designed to get you comfortable on the console fast. No unnecessary theory, no fluff, just the workflow you actually need to run live sound with confidence. Whether you’re working in a church, small venue, touring setup, or running sound for events, this training shows you how to move through the console like an engineer, not someone guessing their way through menus.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll walk through the entire system in a way that actually makes sense in a live environment:
- How the X32 / M32 signal flow really works (and why it matters)
- Setting proper gain structure so your mix starts clean
- EQ and compression you can actually hear and control
- FX setup without over-complicating your mix
- Buses, DCAs, and routing made simple
- Monitor mixing for real performers on stage
- Scene management so you’re not rebuilding mixes every service or show
- Practical troubleshooting when things go wrong mid-event
Who This Is For
This course is built for people actually running sound — not just learning menus.
- Church production teams and volunteers
- New and intermediate live sound engineers
- Musicians running their own sound
- Anyone moving from analog to digital consoles
- Engineers who “know the board” but don’t fully trust it yet
The Goal
The goal isn’t to memorize every feature. It’s to get you to a point where you can sit down at an X32 or M32 and immediately know what to do — how to get a clean input, build a solid mix, and keep a show running without panic or guesswork. Once the workflow clicks, the console stops being the problem and you can concentrate on building fantastic sounding mixes. Once you sign up for this training, you will receive a download link to a zip folder that contains three songs that were professionally recorded in Nashville Tennessee, my 99 page FX Explanations that cover the X32/Wing FX specifically, that has been downloaded close to 9,000 times.
This FX PDF file was used in the first Official Behring Wing User manual due to the quality of the explanations. My training course is very structured and after decades of teaching others, it has been honed to get you up and running using the features of the X32 Rack, in the shortest amount of time possible. You will be required to use Reaper as your Digital Audio Workstation for this training course. This will allow you to do multi track recording as well as Virtual Sound Checks. You can evaluate their full functioning software for 60 days while you check it out free of charge.
You will be expected to practice going over what you learned during our zoom calls, and since each meeting is recorded, you will already have a built in references you can fall back to, to help you polish your mixing skills. At this time, no training will will offered concerning the Dante Card/Network or the ADAT Expansion Cards, as I do not have these cards installed on my X32 Mixer. However, Dante does offer free Certification Programs. Please click here for more information concerning Dante. Once you pay for this course, please click here to setup the date and time for our first meeting. I look forward to working with you. Humbly, Dana Tucker.
